After months of on-and-off arm wrestling with WordPress, I feel like I’m finally onto something. Ironic courtesy of the Quarantine – I found myself with both space and time to use as leverage. The wrestling match ended not with breaking of wrists, but rather with a bit of a draw… and a handshake. We agreed to disagree – I simplified my layout so one can actually Navigate it, in return WP provided a neatly arranged chest of wrenches and spanners to tune it into the 21st century. As it turns out it’s nothing daunting – for the most part the key is to get out from under the proverbial HTML/Dreamweaver rock and try to see the act of writing a website as an exercise in assembly. You fabricate the parts, then figure out a way they function together, and weld the seams where necessary…
